FFIN DANCE workshops

What a week it’s been!

After an amazing time at DanceLive 2012 in Aberdeen on Monday and Tuesday, we returned to a bitterly cold Wales, leaving behind a mild sunny Scotland.  As Aberdeen photographer Laura Mumby said we stole the sunshine, as it’s since been snowing there.

Following our successful show at The Lemon Tree, it was straight back to the office for me to put the final plans together for our half term holiday dance clubs next week.  On Friday, our youth volunteers company, New Ground, began work with children in Six Bells, Abertillery.  Volunteers Olivia Davies, Jessica Williams, Cariad Williams and Gemma Aubrey worked with the children creating together a new piece to show at the Winter Dance Faktry Festival in November.

I also got a chance to chat with the choreographers who will be presenting work with their companies at the Festival: Ceyda Tanc Dance and Exim Dance.  More about that soon.

Please follow my blogs next week as we work with children in the community of Abertillery, providing free dance classes during the school half term holiday.
Don’t forget you can leave comments on the blogs, we would love your interaction and views.
