Day 1 in the studio didn’t fall short of my expectation: it was most special.

We began working with Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello, set to the background of the short story Walter Walters, especially written for us by John F Wake, Welsh author.  It was great to be back in the studio, trying out new partner relationships.

Walter Walters is a veteran of The Great War with a guilty story of his own that he decides to share with Win, his wife of many years.  He confesses all with crazy consequences.  John F Wake writes with historical understanding and an eye for the human touch.  More about that as the piece unfolds.

We looked at Ravel’s 3rd movement of the sonata, Lento.  In this movement, Ravel writes with rich imagery and conjures up many ideas to the listener, ideal for the fertile mind of the creative dancers we have here at FFIN DANCE

Very much looking forward to day 2, hope you can join me on my choreographic journey
