Howdy peeps. Day 3 has been a long one. Didn’t really get very active until after lunch so most of this morning was spent quietly stretching and conditioning (been so nice practicing my yoga) and moments of self reflection. Felt slightly home sick today, think the beauty and awe of this place can overwhelm you at times, so I made time for myself to just chill out on my own outside under a big tree in the glorious sunshine.
This afternoon was more productive. we went over the few changes of facings within the space and again clarified a few sections. There is one duet I find very hard to let myself go and allow my partner to catch me at various points. It’s frustrating sometimes when one of your own insecurities affects your work, but the relationship we all have as a team helps. I would be lost without the other c
ompany members and I treasure their support.
This evening was then spent having a run through of the whole event. It Was quite tiring yet it was delightful to see the works being made by both Fred and Ben. Both pieces were different in their content, intention and form yet were both honest, inspiring and intriguing to watch. It’s quite remarkable to be within their company and to hear all their past stories. Truly inspiring.
We have now just finished our lovely evening meal, where I was sat next to the Princess of Burg Namedy! Now that is a first! And such a lovely lady. Her family and household staff have been so friendly and accommodating I can’t stress enough how fantastic these last few days have been.
Time now to finish my cup of tea and then it’s off to bed. Show day 1 tomorrow 🙂
Ttfn,
Mike 🙂
