Barton and Holyhead Workshops 2012 – A long but lovely journey from the very tip of North Wales in Anglesey back home to South Wales has left the company pretty exhausted but very satisfied with our work in Holyhead last weekend.  It was our 5th trip there in as many years, and each time we go, it’s always a huge pleasure to visit the island of Holyhead.

We have formulated a pattern now of working with the talented dance students of Helen Barton who attend the Barton Academy of Dance and Drama

We make a curtain raiser piece of work which reflects one of our pieces (this year it was Synapsequence by Gary Lambert) which is then performed at our show in the Canolfan Ucheldre.  We also work with the sixth form PA students at Holyhead High School, giving dance taster sessions.

As usual, the Bartons came up with the goods!  Always to be relied upon to perform to the max, this year was no exception.  We had a great time working with them all and seeing how they have all progressed over the past 12 months.  We look forward to keeping in touch and hearing all their news, and visiting once more next spring
