Later this month, our education and outreach unit, the dance faktry, will be launching our new volunteers project – New Ground. With 
the assistance of GWIRVOL, the company has been awarded a grant which will enable youth volunteers from the Abertillery area in Blaenau Gwent to work with professional dance tutors gaining skills like leading a dance session, social media marketing and dance administration. The volunteers will work towards a large site-specific dance work at The Guardian memorial in Six Bells. During this time, they will be helping to develop new dance classes in the Six Bells area providing valuable community engagement, in an area which has very little dance provision.
We will be working alongside other partner organisations like the Six Bells Youth Committee and Six Bells Communities First.
