R&D #urbanflow 2026
Our professional dancers Catrin, Louis and Kaia are now in their second week of the new research and development project for 2026. We are experimenting with movement and stylistic features found in pedestrian action, city scapes and parkour.
The project #urbanflow is running all the way through our dance activity from the professional part of the company through to our dance faktry weekly classes. The annual Easter dance faktry festival in April 2026 will see a coming together of all of this content into a large scale piece of work to be shared on the main stage of our venue ~ The Beaufort Theatre.
Between then and now, our team will be working in schools and community groups teaching movement phrases from the piece and also working out of doors with our parkour tutor Matt who is doing some fantastic work with young people: looking at our familiar places in the community in a different way and creating pathways of movement (flows) in car parks, streets and schools.
